1. Why gamble at an online casino?

It offers many advantages:

? They are open 24 hours a day - 365 days a year.
? Casinos have higher pay out percentages than land casinos.
? They offer great competitions, signup bonuses, and promotional offers.
? It?s impossible to get kicked out!
? Winnings can be paid out within 24 hours.
? You can play for free!

2. Is online gambling legal?

In most countries throughout the world online gambling is legal, however, the laws between jurisdictions differ and legislation may change from time to time. If in doubt, you should contact your local legal representatives to answer any of your questions.

3. Is it safe to give financial and personal information to a casino?

All of the casinos and/or sports betting sites featured by the Complete Casino Directory use 128-bit or higher SSL encryption and secure servers for data transfer. You can bet with confidence knowing transactions via this site are safer than using your credit card in a restaurant. A variety of casino deposit options process your transactions safely and securely, keeping your personal details confidential from all third parties, including the casino company. All casinos listed on this site have a proven track record and are deemed trustworthy.

4. How old do I have to be to gamble?

You must be at least 18 or older to register as a real player on a casino?s site. If you are not 18, you can always play for fun at most online casinos. Some online gaming establishments require you to be at least 21 before they will allow you to place bets.

5. How do I choose an online casino?

There are several important things to check out. First, you will probably want to find a casino with a look and feel that you like. It's the same thing in the real world - just imagine you were cruising the Strip in Las Vegas, and hadn't decided where to play yet. Maybe you pick the Bellagio for its elegance, or Treasure Island for the campy pirates theme. Casinos offer a variety of themes, so browse a few, and pick one that suits your tastes.

Also, with all the different bonuses available, try finding a casino that meets your level of play. If you're just a quarter slot player, you might opt for a simple "$16 Free - no purchase" type of offer. If you're looking to hit the tables for some serious action, perhaps a casino with a good deposit match bonus will help you pat your bankroll. Also, when you arrive at your next online gaming hall, be sure to join the loyalty program. Almost every casino has one, and you will start earning credits for your play immediately.

Our Recommendations

? Check to see if the casino has obtained an Internet gaming license from a sovereign government.
? Make certain customer service is available toll free, 24 hours a day via email or telephone.
? Do they allow you to play for free? This is very important; it gives you the chance to familiarize yourself with the software before you decide to play for real.

6. How does the Complete Casino Directory evaluate the casinos on our site?

We look at a variety of factors including:

? Level of service at the casino
? Selection of casino games
? The graphics of the online casino software
? Signup bonuses and promotions
? Casino administration
? Deposit and payout procedures
? Casino history

We have personally reviewed every casino that we recommend. We have also played scores of online casinos that we do not recommend.(linktoroguecasinosection) The casinos recommended on our site have treated us with fairness and respect ? they will most definitely treat you the same way.

7. Are online casinos fair and honest?

In licensing countries, rigorous government checks and testing insure all casino operations are transparent. Each casino program must be submitted to the government to evaluate fairness toward the player. The operating company is subject to monthly audits by a major international accounting firm. The "house" is happy making the normal profits of gambling. It is always wise to visit online casinos that operate using a premium software package and to avoid casinos running on questionable or unknown software. Microgaming, Parlay Entertainment, Oddson, Playtech, and Cryptologic are all excellent software providers and are recommended by the Complete Casino Directory.
In all cases with casino gambling, the odds for single deck blackjack, for instance, are exactly the same with an Internet casino as with the real thing. The same is true for baccarat, roulette, etc.
As for the gaming machine-type games (slots, video poker, etc.), the player payout percentages are determined by the casino and many will post the payout percentages online.

MGM Mirage to expand into cyberspace

MGM Mirage, an American casino colossus, aspires to conquer gambling cyberspace and circumvent U.S. gambling laws with a British-based online casino.

In Nevada, a well-known gambling mecca, Internet gambling is illegal. State lawmakers there want to overturn a law that prohibits gambling across state lines.

As some U.S. states completely disallow gambling, current law prevents out-of-state gamblers from calling bets into Las Vegas or betting online.

Although laws do not ban Nevada casinos from starting foreign-based Internet gaming sites, legal action could result if players are found to be either children or U.S. residents from non-gambling states.

To placate American officials, MGM Mirage has assured authorities bets from U.S. citizens and children will not be accepted. However, it is unclear exactly how MGM Mirage management plans to enforce this promise.

Ten other companies are competing with MGM Mirage for an online gambling licence from the Isle of Man, UK.
